We set up 3Bee's new video podcast with aesthetic and functional furniture objects made of cardboard with other sustainable and recyclable materials.
After the realisation of the modular stand and the experiential dome presented at Apimell 2023, the collaboration between materieunite and 3Bee continues with the setting design of the company’s first podcast show, thePodcast Biodiverso.
3Bee is Italy’s leading naturetech company in the development of technologies for monitoring and protecting biodiversity, recognised by the EU as the development partner for the first certified biodiversity credits.
In February 2024, 3Bee announced the launch of its first podcast show: the Podcast Biodiversostands out in the climate podcast scene for its ability to weave irony, lightness and information into a unique format that everyone can understand.
With six episodes in its first season, 3Bee’s Podcast Biodiverso addresses topical and crucial issues such as the climate crisis and biodiversity. Virginia Castellucci, Head of Sustainability of 3Bee, and Vincenzo Rizzi, environmental scientist in 3Bee, are the podcast hosts who will talk with prestigious guests – scientists, journalists, disseminators and professionals in the field of sustainability.
In addition to the possibility of listening to the podcast on Spotify, each episode is accompanied by a Youtube video, set in a customised space with products created by materieunite.
Sustainable and environmentally friendly materials, in line with the philosophy of materieunite and 3Bee
Hosts and guests converse around the table made of cardboard: the structure uses an interplay of honeycomb cardboard panels to create three-dimensionality and make the ground support solid. An aesthetic and at the same time functional solution that gives character and personality to the video setting.
The cardboard used by materieunite is a 100% recyclable material, consisting of 80% of recycled paper pulp and only the remaining 20% of virgin fibre from FSC-certified sustainably managed forests.
The chairs are an example of new prototyping and experimentation in the materieunite laboratory: by combining waste materials from cutting and production with wood, the result is a seat with a comfortable design and shapes that can be adapted to different spaces.
The silhouettes of the colourful, identity-enhancing graphics were also produced through direct UV printing and reinforced with cardboard panels, minimising waste during production.
