A table born from the intersection of sustainable design and environmental awareness. The setup created for the Biodiverso podcast by 3Bee embodies the perfect synthesis of innovation, eco-design, and a deep respect for nature. Designed as both a scenic and functional element, the table becomes the meeting point between hosts and guests, reinforcing the narrative with a strong visual presence that aligns seamlessly with the podcast’s message.
Made entirely of honeycomb cardboard, the table stands out for its interlocking structure, which provides three-dimensionality and stability without the need for glue or screws. Production scraps are repurposed to create details and finishes, following a design process that minimizes waste and enhances the value of every material used.
The seating, on the other hand, is created by combining wood with leftover cardboard cuttings, adding another layer of experimentation and research into circular materials.
The aesthetic reflects a minimal and natural language, in harmony with the theme of biodiversity. The material textures and the reuse of waste elements make the project a manifesto of conscious design, where every component has a story and a well-defined function.
Beyond its strong sustainable footprint, the table is designed to offer an immersive experience for participants. During the recording of the Biodiverso Podcast, hosts and guests use it as both a workspace and a control hub, fostering direct interaction with the environment. The setup is not just a visual element but becomes an integral part of the storytelling process.
This project is the result of a collaboration between 3Bee, the Biodiverso podcast, and hosts Fill Pill and Virginia Castellucci, key figures in environmental advocacy. The outcome is a set that conveys commitment, research, and innovation, turning a simple table into a tangible symbol of sustainability and creativity.
